Clone: OX-6
Isotype: Mouse IgG1, κ
Reactivity: Rat, Cross-Reactivity: Cross-reacts with mouse I-A[k] and I-A[s] alloantigens and with a major subset of splenocytes from NOD (I-A [g7]) mice.
Immunogen: Ia-like Glycoproteins from Wistar Thymocytes
Formulation: Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide.
Preparation: The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated with PE under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated PE and unconjugated antibody.
Concentration: 0.2 mg/ml
Storage & Handling: The antibody solution should be stored undiluted between 2°C and 8°C, and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
Application:

FC - Quality tested

Recommended Usage:

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤0.015 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

LOU rat splenocytes stained with

LOU rat splenocytes stained with 1F4 (CD3) Alexa Fluor® 647 and OX-6 PE

Description:

RT1B is expressed on peripheral B lymphocytes, epidermal Langerhans cells, dendritic cells, some tissue macrophages, subsets of thymocytes, peritoneal mast cells, and small intestinal villus epithelium. The OX-6 antibody reacts with non-polymorphic determinants of the rat MHC class II antigen, I-A equivalent. The OX-6 monoclonal antibody cross-reacts with mouse I-A[k] and I-A[s] alloantigens and with a major subset of splenocytes from NOD (I-A [g7]) mice.

Other Names: MHC-class II, I-A equivalent
Structure: MHC-class II
Distribution: B lymphocytes, epidermal Langerhans cells, dendritic cells, some tissue macrophage, and subsets of thymocytes.
Function: Antigen presentation
Ligand Receptor: CD3/TCR, CD4
